Oof. Yes. The rental market can get really grim. We had serious black mould (and slug) problems in the place we lived during the worst of the pandemic, and when we asked the agency to fix it, they told us we should always cook and dry clothes with all the windows open. 🤡

I mean, as someone who has been in shared rental situations quite recently: there’s often no dryer, there’s lots of damp in these places anyway, so you very quickly need heated air dryers and dehumidifiers to avoid even more damp issues (for which you’ll be blamed by the landlord/agency/etc)
