Two Nevada pharmacists were placed on probation yesterday by the state's pharmacy board after they were found to have dispensed weight loss injections that weren't prepared in a sterile environment. Board members called the decision to dispense this medication "egregious."

I recently visited a cosmetology class at Florence McClure Correctional Center, which offers a program designed to give inmates a cosmetology license and viable career path, reducing recidivism. Normally, this course would cost someone tens of thousands. Many women told me it’s a huge blessing.
My favorite part of this story by @estelleatkinson.bsky.social: “According to Braimoh, out of the approximately 85 women who have received their cosmetology licenses through the program, only one or two have ever returned to Florence McClure.”

Yesterday, I met several families who told me about their experiences losing loved ones to drunk driving. They gathered at Mount Charleston to place signs bearing their loved one’s name and a red bow, a sign urging people not to drink and drive, along Kyle Canyon Road. Read more here:
