At the funeral for Officer Didarul Islam, who was killed in the Monday mass shooting, Mayor Adams "specifically" thanks the NYPD unit that responded to the incident, the Strategic Response Group. The same unit has often been criticized for using excessive force on protesters.

On Fox5 Andrew Cuomo says Zohran Mamdani, who handily beat him in last month's primary, "he articulates the problem what's bothering them, but his solutions are vapid. There's no there there." He says that he was not "aggressive enough" and "played it safe" in the primary.
