Yeah. Council tax here is supposed to be graduated so people in expensive houses pay more, but the valuations are all from 1991.

So cool that the people writing the Local Government Finance Act of 1992 learned from history and weren't condemned to repeat it. It would be awful if our current taxes were tied to a single out-of-date property valuation from the Cold War. 🙃

Ooh, yes please! There's some space at the top of the garden lying fallow because the soil's a bit acidic for growing most things, but that shouldn't matter with bere barley!
