🧶 Another #michaels rant: while going to a bigger store leads to better results, the offering are still less than we’re used to. 1) why can’t I ship the yarn I want to store? 2) where is the big twist yarn? 3) why all the sad, muted baby colors? #yarn #crochet #crochetsky

🧶 So I literally hate how you were right? At #michaels, I wasn’t expecting self checkouts and not even enough space to check out with all your yarn. Also the fabric counter is the same place where you check out?? It’s so gross. Not the fault of the employees but YIKES.

I’m taking a break from my usual content to tell everyone that I graduated! I’m an older student, and getting my BA has taken FOREVER. I’m proud of all other older students, and I look forward to never having to pay $80 for an access code, doing homework instead of being with loved ones 🧵

🧶 I found that #sportweight yarn and making peg legs instead of feet is a good #amigurumi hack (at least for me). Also, make the scalp the same color as the hair. Otherwise, it’s a bad time 🥲. #WIP #crochet #crochetsky

🧶 With #amigurumi, I used to approach hair like crochet braids, but I actually feel like approaching hair like tracks works best. Also T-pins. So. Many. T-Pins 🫠 l never had pony weave or sew ins, but my mom did and I leveraged that experience for these pieces. #crochet #crochetsky #WIP

🧶 Skin tones were something I’ve struggled with for a stupidly long time. The #yarn I had was either too gray, too yellow, or too pink 🫠. One of the #caron one pound beige yarns was finally the right color and I moved forward with this #commission! #crochetsky #handmade #amigurumi #crochet
