yes. this is called my girlfriend at random hours and it makes my blood pressure skyrocket even if i appreciate her intention. my robot will be turned down to chill af mode.

73 year old house! no need for a power wire when the thermostat only needed to send a tiny signal

i’m missing the power wire… the all important one.

i have one of these sitting on a shelf that i haven’t installed because my old house is missing a wire… and like what, i’m just supposed to fish a new wire down the wall like a pro?

now i need to investigate the motorcycle. stopped running this year. haven’t felt brave enough to do no big stuff on it while it was running, but now im less afraid to “mess it up” if it’s already messed up

there’s something funny about this having a nice open graph image from the elections ab site that just gets me.

thanks man - i scoured everywhere while working on a geospatial project a bit ago and came up mostly disappointed. was in a position where i could reasonably teach myself a language quickly as the requirements were simple enough, but not a new UI / workflow. has happened a few more times since.

why can’t i reliably “write CAD” with code? or is that a thing? or just a stupid question?

i love changing these things. most enjoyable and rewarding home upgrade was installing lutron and screwless plates.

the following are in my ever growing platform

- bus wraps can’t cover the windows
- can’t walk three abreast anymore - two max. it’s only polite
- every x number of blocks gets zoning for 1 local hole-in-the-wall brit style pub no matter what. and they must be independent (no brands)

same. it’s a kind of an odd choice on their part imo. but i like to think a lot of folks much smarter than me made those choices

not necessarily query param but IIIF has a well-used, open source standard iiif.io/api/image/3.0/
Image API 3.0
IIIF is a set of open standards for delivering high-quality digital objects online at scale. It’s also the international community that makes it all work.

i’ve had to completely change how data is fetched and served from certain CMS to avoid huge API costs for some of our clients. all new since AI/scraping bots have become what they are. also seeing exponential bot:human ratios.

haven’t yet figured out what the opportunity is here
