TIL: Yoshihiro Togashi invented the autism creature
Three panels from the first chapter of the Hunter x Hunter manga. The first two are Gon, a young boy protagonist, looking square into the camera. The last is a panel of every kind of creature in the woods staring back at Gon. They're similar to real world creatures, but a little wrong - there's a tiny giraffe, some foxbears, various unidentifiable small furry round creatures, and something sort of raccoon shaped but because of the sketchy style, it looks like it has huge round eyes. All of the animals are expressionless.
