My dad, Rev. James Crowder, led a committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut in the 1980’s that explored the topic of homosexuality. Perhaps his journey was like that of the pastor in this NY Times piece. In the 1990’s, the Church began ordaining gay clergy.
