I say this as someone who does engage in it and has certain values but just tries to let it slide off my back if it's not something obviously microaggressive or depicts a genuinely troubling worldview.

And if someone truly waffles-pancakes you in real life, you truly should just avoid them. They don't have your best interest in mind and they really are just doing it to upset you.

It's treated like it's the only way to get diagnosed and also only talks about people with the disorders in a way that doesn't aid their care like at all. A lot of disorders are easier to distinguish from other aspects and the book is additionally dated at times even though it was released in 2013.
