I found #ttrpg through my dad. He was keen to introduce us to his many geeky interests. He ran a session of Runequest for me and my younger siblings when I was 10 or so. I ended up running all three characters as my siblings lost interest. The game was left on a cliffhanger that never got resolved.
Instead of the first #TTRPG you played or bought, how did you find out about them?
My dad used to go to a bookstore called The Magic Door and would take me with him. They had the OG D&D books, and later Runequest, Traveller, and the first basic set. /1

My metaphor for how today is going. I spent hours crocheting the neck and part of the body of this dragon, realised it was too twisted and had to unravel it all. Then while undoing it I managed to drop my crochet hook down the back of the sofa and had to rescue it 🤦🏼
