That is exactly my point. Those who believed in the UE, allowing the President to be unfettered by limits on his power would be able deliver on his political promises without interference executing the “will of the people” granted to him by an election. Instead we get what we have now.

The problem with the unitary executive theory is that the president will be an elected benevolent dictator/king. Unfortunately history of dictatorships and our reality show that most dictators are like DJT, completely self absorbed and incapable of the greater good.

They are too afraid of the repercussions. Most for the business community thinks in short term gains not long term repercussions or plans. They see it but know their competitors will take advantage if they speak up. They see it as a competitive advantage to side with him.

Since deregulation of the airlines, There have been quite a few airlines that have tried to offer the service level of yesteryear. They fail. All of them. Air Midwest, Kiwi, People’s Express, Braniff etc. The Low cost model works and even that is not without risks.

I’d argue after 4. Rogue One rest are complete garbage. The prequels at might be the top of the scrum but that would be up to debate.

It’s one thing to argue about levels of taxation, spending priorities, and domestic and international policy, It’s quite another to debate whether we should continue with the constitution order or ignore it if the president is member of our preferred party. But here we are.
