🎲 In Stakeout, you're not just rolling dice — you're allocating your resources to outmaneuver your rivals.
Investigations require specific dice values. Match them exactly, and the lead is yours.
Are you clever enough to work the system?

Played a game of My Father's Work this weekend. Hadn't played this one in quite a while. This game has wonderful storytelling and amazing components. We got an ending I hadn't seen before. I really managed to upset the villagers with my focus on occult experiments. 🤣 #boardgames

Hemloch by John Clowdus, art by Justin Hernandez
The darkness is waning, and you need to cement your house’s control over the city. Atmospheric lane battler. Players draw cards from their decks and play minions on locations vying to gain the most influence. Super fun and the art is incredible.

Jaipur, by Sébastien Pauchon, art by Alexandre Roche
Become the best goods trader in Jaipur. A clever and fun game of open drafting and set collection. Super easy to setup and play… and very addictive! I don’t think I’ve ever played just a single game.

Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small, by Uwe Rosenberg, art by Klemens Franz
Baby Gric! Fast and fun, with a small box and small footprint. There are no cards, so it plays similarly to the “family game” version of Agricola and makes this a really accessible 2-player alternative.

Vampire Empire by Filip Miłuński, art by Piotr Słaby
Play as vampires or humans, each with their own deck and asymmetric powers. The vampires win if they overtake the castle or kill all the human characters. The humans win if they kill the vampires. Such a tight, fun game and super underrated IMO.

I do a lot of 2-player gaming, but interestingly only own a handful of 2-player only games. Here are my favorites. #boardgames #2playergames #gamesfortwo

Had a great time playing games and demoing Happy Habitat and Stakeout at @tableboundgames.bsky.social's Inaugural Indie Game Day at Dubs Tea N' Eats in Plano. Looking forward to the next one! #boardgames #boardgamedesign 🎲✂️

Managed to barely eek out a win (103 points) in a solo game of The Manhattan Project: Energy Empire. I enjoy this one more multiplayer, but it IS a fun and challenging solo experience. Have you tried this one solo? What are your thoughts? #boardgames #soloboardgames

I designed Stakeout with emergent storytelling in mind. I can imagine staking out Miller house until Pete (who's sweet on Stella, the jazz singer's sister) spills his guts – and we learn that Stella has taken up with a wannabe actress named Clara. Stories always draw me in! #boardgames

Arkham Noir: Called Forth by Thunder This is a solo-only card game set in the Lovecraftian universe. Each time I add a card to a case I find myself continuing the ominous narrative in my head and the tense game mechanics and twisted tales always keep me on the edge of my seat! #boardgames

Above and Below The art and theme in this game are so lovely, and it’s quite satisfying to build your little village. But the best part are the encounters. The choices offered add to player agency and help ensure that each time you play a new and compelling story emerges. #boardgames

Last Night on Earth is one of my favorite horror games because of the rich cinematic atmosphere. A scenario provides players with an objective, but the real fun comes through the dramatic scenes that unfold. This game always plays out like a movie, and I love it every time. #boardgames

One thing I love is emergent storytelling in board games. When the mechanisms, components, and actions I take as player all come together to tell a unique and compelling story = chef’s kiss! The more the game allows me the freedom to imagine my version of events, the better. #boardgames 🧵⬇️

Played a solo game of Agricola this evening. I love this game. First time I managed to get all 7 occupations in play. Started with the "Paper Maker" and used that to my advantage. Scored a respectable 51 points. 🐑 🐂 🐗 #boardgames #soloboardgames #tabletopgames
