2) Will you bring Elon in for questioning and hold him accountable for ensuring the resignation of the head of the FAA? Will you hold hearings on whether the recent firing of (checks notes) 100 FAA employees and the hiring freeze on air traffic controllers has made air travel more dangerous?

It’s especially funny when you realize you’re imagining it in the voice of the sea captain in the Simpsons.

Yes, I can always get them from my library—it just requires effort and forethought!

Also, let people have nice things. Lord knows we’re going to need them.

Amen—the NIH business knocked me off this app for 2 full days. They’re flooding the zone, and it’s okay to take a breath and remember that we actually don’t know how much is this is permanent and we should wait until we know more before freaking out and taking everyone along for the ride.

This article prompted me to finally get around to scheduling my first shot. Hadn’t been avoiding it, just hadn’t gotten to it. And now I’ve talked 2 others into it!

But I didn’t see the longevity connection in the article. Is that what will be addressed in the next post?

I think Haydn is wasted on the young. As a violist I always thought of his quartets and symphonies as easy fluff. The older I get though, the more I appreciate his use of melody (esp with the winds!) and his sense of humor.

That is: it’s not about the change to the traffic. It’s about the presence of people even after traffic has been changed.

I think the point was that people were predicting that no one would go to Manhattan anymore and that entertainment/dining etc would be negatively affected.

If that were true, you wouldn’t be seeing big crowds in Times Square. And yet, clearly people are still coming.

But people still have to get there.
