It’s that time of year where we say goodbye to some of our committee and welcome in some new people, meet the new ESCG committee!

Thank you to everyone who attended our outreach workshop this afternoon jointly hosted with the CCG and @ccdc.cam.ac.uk So much enthusiasm and ideas in one room! It was a lot of fun to brainstorm and share experiences 😊👩‍🏫🧠

This year’s Lonsdale prize lecture is awarded to Emma McCabe for her work on physical crystallography education 📈👩‍🏫

Our last session was a big one! Thank you to all our speakers for finishing the satellite with lots of great science 🧬 👩🏻‍🔬⚛️ Particularly thank you to Jere Tidey for his finishing plenary

We are delighted to award this years Parkin Lecture prize to Ilaria Gimondi for her outstanding contributions to outreach and education with the @ccdc.cam.ac.uk

We finished off day 1 with some big data, MOFs, polymorphs and the quick fire flash presentations ⚡️Great to see some old and new faces in the Early Stage Crystallographers

It’s been an excellent start to our satellite meeting in Leeds today! Everything from superconductors to crystal growth to high pressure - thanks to all our speakers and chairs so far!
