context. #lesbian s and #transmen spaces are very intertwined. it’s disingenuous and ignorant to pretend that they are not. and it’s okay that they are! it doesn’t make trans men less of men and it doesn’t make lesbians less #wlw and #nblw and #nblnb. queer ppl are supposed to support one another.

i also had a conversation with a cis man there about how i got to look like i do. he said he was jealous of my chest hair and wanted to know how i was able to get mine as a trans man. can’t recommend t since he’s cis lol, but i gave alternative options used often by pre t men. it was a nice exchange

2nd part in response to a comment about it not mattering that trans men are trans, that because we are men we are the exact same as cis men, which i disagree with. in conversations where it’s relevant, like gender, distinguishing trans and cis differences can be productive.
