I'm here just in case the other site falls in its own weight.
It's pretty good. I like that it offers something different and the character writing. Which makes me genuinely interested to see what they'll do with them in the next entries.

It may won't be my favorite iteration of the franchise, that would be On Television and the Manga (which was made at the same time). But there's no denying that, in its own right, it's a quite good introduction to this world and its beloved iconic characters.

It's still an excellent movie.
From the genre bait and switch in the first half hour that subverts the narrative, John McTiernan directing, the iconic one liners, and the genuinely predator himself, who is one of the most iconic aliens in film history.

It's still a quite good show; even with the infamous rushed ending, that had to be fixed by a solid OVA.
While the first arc is more unique to the Mecha genre; with its focus on survival, I kind of prefer the second arc because of its faster pacing and more cathartic action.

Katana Zero
What acool game!
Even though the game narratively use tropes, and story concepts that you may seen before in works such as Max Payne and Metal Gear, its excellent implementation proves that everything depends on the execution.
I'm still waiting for that DLC...

It is perhaps the weakest season of this anthology... But that doesn't stop it from still being really good.
I plan to make a ranking shortly before The Ninth Jedi Show comes out; but from what I can say at the moment, there isn't a single bad segment.

Its a quite fun Creature Feature.
I enjoyed it on this rewatch even more; with Riddick being along with the Iron Giant, one of my favorite Vince characters.
While the first half suffers from some weird and distracting late 90s editing choices, these almost disappear in the 2nd half.

The Girl who Leapt Through Time
Wolf Children
Metaphor: ReFantazio
Thunderbolts* The New Avengers (so far the only MCU that I bought)

It still remains a solid and important OVA, with cool vibes.
It's quite noticeable that narratively it's a compilation film for a canceled TV anime. But that doesn't detract from its entertainment value and the themes that explores with a bit more nuance than someone can expect.

Being both a throwback to the 50-episode Real Robot of the early to mid-80s and one of the last of its kind, it's a miracle that this show ever existed.
It remains an quite good high concept story; and with how the anime landscape has changed, we may never see a similar show again.

I love watching this segment almost every Halloween night, and the experience never feels old.

It is a highly underappreciated film. It's eerie, well directed, and sometimes, it gave me goose bumps.
Released during a dark period of transition for the Disney studios, it is seen as yet another box office failure; something that does not deserve to be remembered for.

Resident Evil 2 (Remake)
This is perhaps one of the most important games of the last seven years. Not only did it help to kick off the wave of remakes, but it also breathed new life into modern AAA and AA horror genre.
While I prefer the remake of the og, there's no denying this game impact.

It's still a spectacular movie.
While the first two acts are quite entertaining, it is the excellent third act that elevates the film. I highly recommend it.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
It's a really fun, stupid game. It's nothing special in terms of gameplay, but it does a good job of entertaining from start to finish.
While the story is mostly pretty dumb, Starkiller is surprisingly a likable main character.

Far Cry 3
It's still spectacular, and along with 2, they have the best narrative in the series.
I can understand why in hindsight, some may hate it for its huge influence on the open-world genre, for better or for worse. Still, that doesn't deny that it's a really fun experience on itself.

It is genuinely a magnificent segment and my favorite in this volume.
From the incredible animation and vibrant colors, to its clever use of allegory from real history, to its pure emotional value; I highly recommend watching it.

''This is evil anti-Catholic propaganda!''
Joking aside, it's an amazing segment by Cartoon Saloon, with one of the most emotional yet twisted cathartic third acts in this anthology.

Overall, it's a good novelization of the Altair games.
I wish they hadn't skipped a few parts for pacing reasons; but the way they expand on the last two segments from Revelations, is magnificent.

It's a pretty good segment overall. Mainly because the parallel inner conflicts between the main characters, the fight choreography, and the animation which is really excellent, being in my opinion Studio Mir best work yet.
I just wish it could have been a little longer.

It's a really good segment.
A simple but effective story, in terms of its emotional value.
My only gripe, it would be the twist at the end of the epilogue, which at least for me, seemed unnecessary.

Taking into account the socio-political context of Chile reflected in this episode (the theft and privatization of water), it is a work that I can see touching the hearts of many people; even from other countries experiencing similar situations.
