Finished my third book this month! Well on schedule for the 15 books I want to read in 2026.
I liked this sci-fi novel. Not the best plot there is, but I was invested in the characters and the story. Finished it in a couple of days!

Crumb picture! Looks a little under proofed and I saw some shaping issues with other slices.
Luckily the taste is good and my children are happy with it. As long as they are satisfied, so am I!

Very happy with this result! My sourdough starter was useless, so this one is made with dry yeast.
Absolutely love the looks of this loaf! I used the shaping method of Forkish in FWSY.

It has been almost three months since I baked my last bread. Live happened, I guess..
Very happy with this result! My sourdough starter was useless, so this one is made with dry yeast.

Vandaag opgestaan met wat pijntjes, die beter niet genegeerd konden worden. Resultaat; niet de route gelopen die ik wilde. Wilde het er niet op gokken dat halverwege niet meer fatsoenlijk zou kunnen lopen.
Wel een heel goed alternatief gevonden! Het originele plan komt nog wel eens 😊

Vandaag opgestaan met wat pijntjes, die beter niet genegeerd konden worden. Resultaat; niet de route gelopen die ik wilde. Wilde het er niet op gokken dat halverwege niet meer fatsoenlijk zou kunnen lopen.
Wel een heel goed alternatief gevonden! Het originele plan komt nog wel eens 😊

En dan vandaag op pad! Wandelroute uitgekozen die van de camping start, er was slecht weer in de ochtend voorspeld dus ik moest wat later starten.
Mooie route door het bos, de weilanden en een klein dorpje. De route was eigenlijk 8km, klein foutje onderweg 😬

En dan vandaag op pad! Wandelroute uitgekozen die van de camping start, er was slecht weer in de ochtend voorspeld dus ik moest wat later starten.

Kon gisteravond mooi beginnen in het derde boek van de boekenclub. Zonder afleiding van de telefoon gaat het toch een stuk makkelijker.

Gisteren aangekomen en alles opgezet. Geen mobiel bereik op de camping, ook wel eens een verfrissende ervaring.

Het duurde even, maar de 640 bladzijdes zijn uiteindelijk voorbij gevlogen. Een etmaal in een concentratiekamp wat op het punt staat overlopen te worden door de Sovjets. Gruwelen, lachen, verbazen en ook emotioneel.

Het duurde even, maar de 640 bladzijdes zijn uiteindelijk voorbij gevlogen. Een etmaal in een concentratiekamp wat op het punt staat overlopen te worden door de Sovjets. Gruwelen, lachen, verbazen en ook emotioneel.

#C25K Not the best run, but still a run! Best part was meeting these Scottish Highlander! There was also an herd of wild horses in the field. Enjoyed this outdoor run, although it wasn't the best. It's hard to get to the 20min run, maybe next time!

#C25K - Getting there! First 20 min run ✅ followed by a recovery walk and a 500m sprint. Never would have guessed I actually look forward to the next run.

Forgot to post these two loafs from my last bake. Came out pretty good, but still not the open crumb I'm aiming for. Taste was great, though. Used some Emmer, Rye and Wheat wholegrain with a seedmix.
On to the next batch!

Look at that! My starter was already way past it's peak and I had to give it an overnight final proof instead of a few hours, but the result is pretty good! 10% rye, 20% spelt, 20% Emmer, 25% wheat and 25% breadflour with linseed & pumpkin seeds. 80% hydratation

I've made Ramadan Pides for the very first time, and they've turned out so good! I made one with olive oil and one with milk in the dough. Very interesting to see, feel and taste the difference between the two.
