They don’t care. Trump and his mob were able to con their way into the White House twice, and they don’t intend to allow elections to get in the way of continued dictatorial control. So all the talk about polls and voter support is irrelevant at this point.

This wasn’t Trump’s “Reichstag Fire”. That will be riots in major cities initiated by his brown shirts (Proud Boys and other MAGA militia). Trump will blame the riots on “leftists/communists” as justification for declaring martial law in the entire nation. Then we will truly be the “Fourth Reich”.

I understand and agree with your message, but they did have blackout drills even in Midwest cities during WWII. My father was a civil defense neighborhood monitor whose job was to go around and knock on doors to tell people to turn out any lights that had been left on during the drill.
