“They” (as in EA, makers of the three games in your picture) did indeed choose not to make a Fellowship game. There was one around that time but it was from Vivendi, who had the book license so they couldn’t use movie material, whereas EA had the movie license so they couldn’t use the books.

Who needs world destruction when you have a soul strong enough to split in two and conquer heaven and hell at the same time?

To be clear the basic version includes everything released for the original; the horse armor in the deluxe edition is new (as are the other sets).

I have chickens so when I see “egg bound” my mind goes to an entirely different meaning revolving around an egg being stuck in the chute

Warcraft II when I was in junior high springs to mind, though it was only a mystery for a few years since I was in college when WoW was starting up and picked up War3 in the beta hype cycle. “Wait, this setting seems really familiar…”

I found a signed Twilight Company in my nearby Half-Price Books a while back; I’m quite fond of it

City and Origins also both have DLC stories that take place after their main campaigns. I’ve never played Knight’s DLC so I’m not sure what the best plan for those is (there are some that integrate with the main game but others where you play as different characters and I’ve no idea their timeline.)

It’s release order; as mentioned, Origins is a prequel, so if you were to play in timeline order it would be O->A->C->K, but Origins is 1) from a different studio, so the Rocksteady team wasn’t super involved, and 2) very much built on City, to the point it feels more like an expansion pack.

Asylum -> City -> Origins -> Knight. Origins is optional; it’s a prequel from a different studio but built entirely on City’s base.

Based on some cursory googling this does indeed appear to be completely unrelated, just another game by a different dev with the same title, five years before the famous Legend of Heroes series would begin.

This reminds me that I never got all of them back in Alola. I should go finish that sometime.
