Have learnt from Andrea Cau that French palaeontologist Philippe Taquet died yesterday, aged 85. Taquet published a substantial amount on north African and French #dinosaurs, including Ouranosaurus, spinosaurids, the dromaeosaurid Pyroraptor and much more.

This summer I had the pleasure of collaborating w/ researchers Naiomi Cookson & Arjan Mann (Field Museum) to reconstruct a flesh-model bust of Cyonosaurus. After getting to meet the holotype, I started roughing out the skull armature. More of the process to follow!

Here's my skeletal of Medusaceratops lokii, a Albertaceratopsini Centrosaurine from the Judith River formation of Montana. This taxon is known from a large bonebed containing many specimens. thanks to both @lordtrilobite.bsky.social and @andyfarke.bsky.social for helping the restoration! scalebar 1m

lafferty et al. describe the skull, braincase, and dentition of a juvenile moschognathus, highlighting potential adaptations for headbutting behaviour and an infected abscess on the frontal bone consistent with this
