Agree that this is generally the case. I'm fortunate that my direct supervisor is confident he can see that we're getting stuff done by... seeing that stuff gets done. Some of the others around our larger team, though - whew! Can't tell if their crew are working if they can't look at them directly!

True. In my industry there were a lot of people in managerial roles in 2020 whose advancement was mostly due to playing office politics. Since productivity is all that matters in our current WFH situation, those people are desperate to get back in the office.
