Finally watched Adolescence on Netflix. While it clearly engages with the manosphere, the series continues a tradition of screen narratives exploring white male working- and middle-class toxicity, with Yorkshire, Northern England once again serving as a politically and socially charged backdrop.

I’m so sad to learn that Jonathan Sterne passed away earlier today. He’s had such a positive impact on my professional academic career while I was a grad student at McGill, as I noted in the Acknowledgements section of my dissertation all those years ago.
