I see so many inaccurate posts about historical #witches and the #inquisition here that I'm thinking about doing my own 🧵. I have a few crazy translations about Spanish Witch Trials that give some insight.
But that would be a lot of work and since I don't have many followers, idk if it's worth it...

Atualmente, a principal ameaça à democracia não são golpes ou reformas autoritárias, a ameaça é o populismo que se baseia na crença que o "senso comum" deve definir políticas públicas. Uma democracia forte protege o interesse e direitos de todos, indiferente do que a maioria da população pensa.

Just listened to the new podcast issue of @notesfrompoland.bsky.social and Polish Minister of Interior Maciej Duszczyk explained well the current policies of @donald-tusk.bsky.social. The shift of Poland from a country that sends emigrants to one that gets immigrants is indeed a complex issue.

I hate the fact that preferring Star Wars Legends over the nu-canon was politicized.
For me, it has nothing to do with politics. It's only that I grew up with those Star Wars books, comics and media. It's so NOT political to the point that EU legends fans are upset since 2008, when TCW came out.
