I literally had a township govt in pennsylvania ask if we could build a coal plant instead of a solar farm near about 500 homes.

Prices will rise. PE funds in the US are already buying power plants to pull out of the wholesale market to focus on data center load. Could lead to brownouts if we dont get a better permitting path.

Development cycles are lengthy mostly due to environmental and local permitting. Grid connection takes a long time too, as new lines cannot be built due to... environmental permitting.
