Ernie Howell’s Southend United Scrapbook
@erniehowellsufc.bsky.social
Ernie Howell was a lifelong Southend United supporter and, after he passed, we found his SUFC scrapbook, dozens of 1950s programmes (Home and Away) and the odd promotional photo. We’ll post scans sporadically.
Clip from the Southend Pictorial, the game was Southend 1 Aldershot 1. The game was played on 11th October 1952 at the Southend Stadium in front of a crowd of 12,500

Why 3:15 ?

The game is being held in the “Southend Stadium” as the move to Roots Hall is a while off yet.
