Because I’ve started reading the post-NEM #StarTrek :TNG novels (finishing David Mack’s Cold Equations trilogy) decided to visit an old friend, the Star Trek: First Contact Blu-ray, but with the Library Computer feature on for the first time ever. I wonder where it’ll take me?

The West Wing is an American political drama that is dear to me but, folks, these days it’s more of an American political fantasy, which makes it tough for me to rewatch. And yet- dammit!- I’m still going to do my annual Thanksgiving rewatch of S2E8 Shibboleth, b/c some things are sacrosanct

Watching THE ROCKFORD FILES (1974) episode The Kirkoff Case, with the James Garner charm, and it is marvelous. 1970s seedy Los Angeles. Gangsters with comb overs. Red velvet bars and empty freeways! And, of course, the 1974 Pontiac Firebird Esprit.

#ScavengersReign was nominated for Outstanding Animated Program for 2024, and while the competition is fierce, one can only hope a win might convince the Netflix folks to produce a second series. Beautiful, sublime, strange, magnificent- I was unprepared as to how much it would stay with me.

Found this one in the library when I was a kid and reread it constantly. I always thought it was this huge, unwieldy book; in my twenties, during one of my used bookstore raids, I found it again and it was so small! Bought it immediately.

I visited noted artist #BobLizarraga ‘s booth at this year’s #Monsterpalooza and saw his “The Twilight Zone Monsters” print on display and I couldn’t shake it. It’s beautiful. Started thinking of favorite episodes. My fave now, top of my head: Monsters of Maple Street.

Saturday night. Still buzzing from seeing Dune Part Two earlier today. Swung by a B&N and picked up the latest issue of Analog. Currently listening to Hans Zimmer’s #Dune score and about to crack open the aforementioned magazine.

Didn’t make Sunday’s #gally1 panels and events- it was a long Saturday night!- but I managed to make it to the bar one last time and saw a Dalek! I think I’m enjoying the reactions the mundanes give it as much as Dalek itself.
