I didn’t say it was a good move, but that’s the thinking. They did it often last year with Dvorak. Suzuki was losing a lot of draws so maybe he wasn’t comfortable letting him take the draw.

Winning in the AHL is important for the organization. I don’t think they’ll deplete Laval unless it’s on an emergency basis. Besides, Guhle should be back soon.

Not happy with Binnington but game two was the time to give one of the other two guys a shot. There is no room for error tonight and giving the net to one that hasn’t experienced the pressure of this tournament is a huge risk.

I think Drew Doughty was that type before he got hurt. I think that he can regain that status and should be the replacement for Pietrangelo on Team Canada, if that’s where this question is headed.
