Great event in wilmslow today for half marathon. So well organised with amazing volunteers. Not the time I wanted but still so appreciative I can take on these challenges & enjoy them. A bit more patience & careful injury management is needed on my part.

On this day 15 years ago these two younger looking fellas formed Know and Do Limited. We struck out on our own to try our hand at management consulting. I've loved the people we've met on the way, the variety of businesses and enterprises. My big thanks to Andrew Ramwell for the partnership!

Enjoyed a winter sun run around Goyt Valley & Shining Tor this am. Such a treat to have the Peak District so close. It was perfect weather for muddy trail run. A surprise to meet running mates out too. My knee held up on the hills & miles today so hopeful of longer runs in the spring

Fab to have the Peak District so close to me. The new year has allowed me some running around Hen Cloud, Roaches, Luds church, Gun Moor and Tittesworth Reservoir. Thursday was so sunny and clear. Today misty and more ice. To be able to explore the trails and hills is a real treat.

On my last day visiting schools of 2024 I got to spend time with the curriculum lead at Bruche Primary, Warrington. A graduate of our ITT programme for trainee teachers. Fab to see them now leading colleagues. Fab too the school promotes our PGCE options!

Plenty of treats await those that complete today's 15 mile Roaches Hill race in the peak district. Mow Cop Runners are out marshalling and the registration queue is finally shrinking in time for 10.30 start at Meerbrook!! #trailrunning

Enjoying a day in London for the Liverpool CIty Region & Beyond Early Years Hub with DfE, NCB & the national hub network reflecting on CPD for the very diverse, important EYFS workforce.

My 3rd season joining the North Staffs Cross Country league for #MowCopRunners. I always finish each race in the last 10 but the festival atmosphere & the chance to line up with some amazing athletes is worth it. Plus it was a sunny autumn day last Saturday in Betley 😃 #nsccl ##edurunners

Continued my summer of wet races by joining the #Cheshirehalfmarathon last weekend. Very different to run on flat roads. Didn't quite get under the 2hrs I'd hoped for but I still enjoyed the challenge & the fab crowd at the finish in Capesthorne Hall!

Really pleased that after a DNF earlier in the summer I completed my 1st ultra marathon around the hills of the Peak District last wkend. My goal to do a 50k in my 50th year is done! 35miles in 9.5hrs. Massive thank you to Peak Running CIC for organising & to their wonderful volunteers

Sneaked a gentle early morning run in the sun on the west Sussex coast this week as I visited family. A nice treat from the usual hills. Worth getting up for as I'm not a natural early morning runner.

Enjoyable morning with a running buddy exploring nearby Peak District. Up & over Teggs Nose, through the hills of Macclesfield Forest, up & round Shutlingsloe. Missed most of the forecasted rain finishing in the comfort of Leather Smithy's. To tired to worry about my selfie technique!
