i like this attempt much more than the previous
this time i made the jacket shorter so you can see the hem of her dress underneath, and it only puffs our half as much in the back I've done one sleeve so far, with the same shadow pattern i used on her shorts in a light purple yarn

🗝️🌀 new shorts for twyla 💙 🕷️ i was running low on black yarn so i tried doing a swirly "shadow" pattern for the bottoms of the legs. i think they turned out rlly cute!! #dollsky #twylazone
twyla wearing the knit shorts with her short purple fearbook dress - the bottoms of the shorts show under the dress hem and over her knees, so she's covered up a bit more and you can see some of the purple and black pattern i knitted close up of the knit shorts - they're black with an intarsia pattern that's supposed to look like twyla's shadows (or maybe tentacles) on the bottom. the colorwork is in a variegated yarn with a range of dark blues and purples so there's not a really high contrast but some variety

unfortunately i just don't like how this coat is turning out... so i'm gonna take it as a learning experience, unravel and start over 🤷‍♀️ at least now i know what shapes might look better with the dress!

i knitted a black crop top with a bright green stripe. the top is sleeveless - instead of sleeves there's a ribbon attached to the top along the edge, and tied into knots around her upper arms. the ribbon is black with green leaves and orange fruit embroidered on it - i think it came from the lining of some clothing piexe

the only small needles i have are these short dpns so anytime i want to knit something like this i have to live dangerously
i have 84 stitches crammed onto a small needle - luckily they're not sliding off the edge. this is to make twyla's coat - i'm doing dark purple with a white border to go with her fearbook dress (purple and black with a white lacy collar)

lagoona's cropped long sleeve sweater has magenta and black checkers on the body, and orange and black checkers on the sleeves. it matches the orange and magenta in the other parts of her outfit, and the autumn leaves too!
