I imagine so, I just sorta struggle with talking to people and making new friends.
I did have existing friends give it a try, but none were really committed enough for it.

Yeah, been thinking about recruitment too but I don't really know where best to find people, especially for my niche.

But I really don't know how I'd find someone suitable, that I'd mesh with that well.
If I want to make something happen, I might have to tackle it all alone... which is really not ideal.
Would be nice if I were better at the whole socialising and networking thing. Rock and a hard place, y'know.

It's a mistake to think they have principles (at least the way we understand). They will say whatever is convenient, whatever gets them what they want. So long as they do, they don't care about being called hypocrites.

I really hope Mika gets to design the next game again, I need another cast of this particular flavour

Yeah, same. I love it to death but making a two month commitment every year is overwhelming.
When you're hardcore invested, two months is great because you want it to never end, so I get why. But personally it's a case of too much of a good thing.
All the discourse is definitely factoring in too tho

Getting too confrontational just makes them dig their heels in
I think the only good way to convince this type to change their mind is indirectly. To let them work it out on their own

But that's a lot harder when they have a hateful voice whispering in their ear constantly, affirming their biases

Problem is, if you tell someone who doesn't believe themself a bigot that they're doing something wrong, they often get defensive and try to protect the narrative that keeps the guilt at bay.
To them, your claim is 100% false, so they write it off as nonsense.

There's a lot more of these types but they give the outright bigots more power by agreeing with the notion that LGBT people should shut up and keep to themselves.

Most people are swayed by empathy, so the ability to frame things in a way that avoids triggering it is very dangerous.

An unfortunate number of people aren't homophobic in the overtly loud bigot sense. But more that they rationalise it by telling themselves they're fine with LGBT people existing, they just don't want to see it. Ever.
That's why they label it as politics, so they can exclude without feeling guilty.
