I hate showing weakness or being vulnerable especially on social media but I feel like you guys deserve to know the truth if you ever plan to commission me or work with me or be friends.

I currently live in a somewhat abusive household since my mom is a cleaning maniac, and for various reasons, I cannot simply move out. Spending all day with her is really taxing. I don't want to overshare, and I'm also not writing this to ask for help or money. For the past two years, I've been working non-stop on commissions and art in secret to have money to feed, dress, and take care of my needs, including all my medical bills and college, since otherwise, I have no source of income and was never given an allowance. For the most part, I used to go to college at 7 am, a lot before class starts, and spend my days and free time in the library drawing or rigging. This gave me some solace and lots of alone time to enjoy some peace and work. Now that I have graduated, I've been locked at home. In order to be allowed to work or study or sit at my desk, I have to thoroughly make sure that the house is squeeky clean. or else I get in trouble, and by that, I mean I get really verbally hurt. I don't know how to explain how emotionally painful it is to endure that every day if I just forget to wipe a corner or make sure everything is in its right place...it just makes me feel like I'm worthless and good for nothing and that all my efforts are vain, while being unable to speak up and feeling guilty for making clients wait or not being able to prepare for job interviews and exams. I really love this community, and I want to do more and give more since you guys give me the means to live and a source of income to support myself. But I also feel so guilty when I make people wait months for art they paid for although nobody ever complained and you all have been so sweet and nice and patient with me. I will be trying to finish my current queue as soon as possible and will put all my services on hold until I can assure I can offer fast and better quality services to everyone. I cannot, in good conscience, accept payments when I know it will take so long for me to get things done.
