In 1996, as I stepped into my medical career in Scotland, I carried not only the weight of my new responsibilities as a ‘Junior Doctor’ but also the burden of navigating a professional landscape st…

Someone recommended Montparnasse Tower as a 'to-do' when in Paris.
It was a superb recommendation with incredible views which included the Eiffel Tower.

Just wish I could thank the person who recommended it #thisis40 #Paris #MontparnasseTower

Last few days of getting the early bird deal for the @aspa-network.bsky.social conference

An exciting line up of speakers and a great opportunity to meet other professionals.

See you there!?
There are still 2 weeks left to get your ASPA conference tix on the early bird deal (£50 for members & £100 for non). 96% of those there last year wanted us to run it annually. You said, we listened! We have a great line-up and more names TBC. Buy tickets here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1141308918...

Just home from a wonderfully poignant production of #TheMerchantOfVenice @lyceumedinburgh.bsky.social
27 years on from my first time and still finding new layers, and still able to quote the opening sequence 🎭 (in my head)!

It was outstanding!

Crime against gin that @EdenMill don't still make their Oak Gin.

Nothing cosier than Oak gin, ginger ale and a slice of orange on a cold night.

However my stock is depleted, down to my last few minis 😢

As a proud Glaswegian I often reflect on the amazing upbringing I had with so much on my doorstep but as my friends moved out & away (including myself) I often feel relieved not to still be there.

This article explains the city's financial decline & the feelings of pride and guilt many of us feel.
I belong to Glasgow. But do I really? My piece for @glasgowbell.bsky.social about the guilt of living just over the East Renfrewshire boundary, and paying nothing towards the city's upkeep, something I've been musing on for a long time. www.glasgowbell.co.uk/should-glasg...
Should Glasgow's suburbs subsidise the city?
Play in Pollok Park, work in town; pay tax in East Ren.
