I'm the parent of some of those 23% (actual homeschooled kids, in a town where the school option isn't great), and I also think the homeschooled kids really don't need more money. In 11 years, I've almost never needed the entire allotment. And the BSA helps everyone.

Some of us are liberal educated homeschoolers in under resourced rural red states, trying to do the best we can. I don't like being cast as the enemy. I want public schools to improve here, and vote accordingly. Throwing my own kids under the bus doesn't really help.
