So many congratulations to @abipollokoff.bsky.social for this brilliant debut with @redhenpress.bsky.social. I had the honor of being in the same MFA cohort as Abi, and her work has always achieved an incredible musicality & subtlety of craft. open-books-a-poem-emporium.myshopify.com/products/pol...

“Do to me what sunlight does to a river.”

I remember being absolutely floored by this @patrycjasara.bsky.social line when I first read it. Still floored, awed, enchanted. ☀️🌸

I’m thrilled to announce that my novel and I are now represented by the brilliant Marya Spence of Janklow & Nesbit! Writing and editing this novel has been so rewarding, and I could not have found a better agent to help me reach its final form. ✨

"to make a body a product,
the first step is devaluation."

"Translation" is the result of many years of engagement with how the history of the great auk coincided with the history of colonialism.

It's actually happening! 💫 My first book, "Wrecks," is forthcoming from Noemi Press!

It's an honor to be selected by such an incredible press, whose books have inspired and guided me as a poet for so many years.

Many congratulations to everyone on this list!

My cross-genre workshop with the Porch starts in 1 week!

We'll learn how contemporary writers and poets are taking innovative new approaches to writing about animals, the environment, and global warming, in addition to writing and workshopping our own work.

This poem breaks my heart every time I read it. 🤍

The same is true of the entirety of REMOVAL ACTS, the innovative, haunted, earth-shifting debut from Erin Marie Lynch out today from Graywolf. It's one of this year's most important & compelling books.

Cutest little plant store in the world??? There, I said it. “Seeds” in Dunedin def gave me the dose of autumn I needed this weekend.

Who knew this could happen to me, in the humid subtropics desperately trying to emulate autumn. 🍁

Thinking that if I name my first novel after a Kate Bush song, it's just a little more likely that she'll hear about it & want to speak with me, & invite me to her castle, where we'll drink tea & chase rabbits through the spiraling foxgloves.

Another foolproof plan.

What did everyone look like 10 years ago?

Curls; Gulf of Finland; better scarves.
