Trying this writing thing. Started with scribbling stories on my nightstand as kid, to publishing essays and pieces in Huffington Post, TodayShow.com, Deep Wild Journal, Bright Flash Lit, Multiplicity Magazine, Detroit Metro Times and more.
This was a beautiful story! Your line: "How fast would a train need to travel before it didn't hurt anymore?" really hit ❤️

This was so powerful and raw. I applaud your vulnerability with this piece, it really pulls the reader into your experience. ❤️

Hi there! I recently finished “I’m Never Fine” and as someone who also lost a dad to cancer, it was so raw and relatable, and the writing was stunning. Damn near every page had a sentence so beautifully written that I had to go back and reread it several times. Well done! 👏🏻

Love the "big wheel years" classification - oh man were those toys a defining marker of childhood for us nostalgic millenials!

Oh this was so raw, but beautifully written. I'm so sorry for your loss. And glad to hear you're writing more! Stories like these are so important.

This was an important essay for me last year - telling part of my dad's story. It's more straight story-telling with a news bent, but something I hope resonated with others: www.yahoo.com/news/dad-got...
When My Dad Got Cancer, I Kept Asking, 'Why Him?' His 3-Word Response Floored Me.
"It was 10 months into his treatment when I finally broke in front of him, and he revealed the surprising yet profound truth he was using to guide his way through his diagnosis."

Proud of this flash CNF piece that ran early this year, documenting the journey of grief: brightflash1000.com/2024/01/04/t...

A Memoir by Erin Hall The Monday after dad’s funeral, mom and my brother go back to work. They want to escape the rot consuming the house – flowers no longer in bloom, dad’s empty chair. I do not. …
