When I finished ‘Too Like the Lightning’ I wasn’t quite sure what I thought. I didn’t know Ada Palmer. Where was she even going with this? Could she pull it off?

But damn she did. It’s one of the only series where I’ve given every book 5 stars. 🪐📚

What does it mean to be a good person when your society is based off ritual torture and every one of your soldiers has been brainwashed to obey you?

The worldbuilding in Ninefox Gambit is excellent and despite the bleakness of the above question it was fun read. And the characters are A+
