I’ve volunteered with pro bono legal teams in Dilley. It was a deeply traumatic, dystopian place. I worked with families whose children self-harmed in custody, then denied care. We had to pass through invasive security screenings to enter. It’s a jail. No good faith argument for any other name.

Hello! I just read the first 15 pages, and had to pause and process the dizzying sensation of someone finally capturing the complexity & heartbreaking grind of humanitarian imm law. As an imm attorney, I’ve never seen our work—and the lives of our clients—represented with such nuance and care.
