I really enjoyed The Wide, Wide Sea, by this author. Two very different topics!

Among the many upsetting things here it's striking how easily this brave woman could've suffered brain or spine injury or death the way they dragged her out of the car by her legs. Just total cosplay goons.

Sympathies from a cat mom to a chronic UTI / kidney disease kitty. Check out D-Mannose if you get a chance; a palatable, affordable supplement that seems to have made a real difference for our girl. (No advice on the vet bills -- oof is right!)

More concerning than the silly typo is the implication that critics are other; they must have something wrong with their "blood" or flawed "DNA." By focusing on their silly ignorance we overlook and normalize the (much scarier) eugenics at the heart of all they do.

thank you -- I feel like these comments have completely blown past the r-word blotted out in red. Y'all know he's explicitly doing eugenics of the disabled/"useless eaters" discourse here, right? Whether it's coal mines or anything else is decidedly not the point.

Thank you. Intersectionality is so critical with a regime that's attacking marginalized groups from multiple fronts. Appreciate LDF's important work here and hope they also address how disabled students (a group that's disproportionately POC) stand to lose many hard-fought rights and protections.
