The jingle that I gave as an example could have easily been thrown together in Ableton or similar software. I'm sure someone at the station could have done it even - alternatively could have signposted to someone who could.

Artists who sell their work to stock image providers get compensated when their work is used.

The issue is that that AI is trained (without consent) on the work of real artists, many of whom are trans. It feels like it undermines the purpose of the station to showcase trans artwork, in the form of music and presentation.

I watched a film with some friends a couple of months ago. I really disliked it because I found that it undermined its own message repeatedly. I was still able to discuss it extensively and why I thought that was the case for longer than the runtime of the film itself.

AI is ultimately illiterate.

Listen to the commentary of your favourite video games or TV shows. The writer's commentary audio track itself for Adventure Time is part of what inspired me to discuss this as I did.

AI art is quick and easy - that's both the point and the downfall.

Real art takes time because of that thought.

I am not sure if it has been raised by anyone to you before but AI training is a core reason that I barely share any of my own work online anymore.

Please work to improve so that you can be "for the community, by the community" as your jingle says, rather than "for the community, by OpenAI"

If you wanted an image similar to that one from your homepage, there are trans artists lined up to 3d model in Blender/Maya.

If you wanted a similar jingle to "If there's a beat asixjckskf, keep spirits high shining so bright", you could ask one of the musicians who showcase their through you.

The concept of the "starving artist" is real and the wage gap may as well be the Mariana Trench for trans people.

I know funds have dried up, but laundering the work of artists and not paying them isn't the way to do it.
August 5, 2025 at 9:27 PM
AI is trained on the materials of real artists without our consent. None are ever paid or given credit.

I understand that on the surface, at least, it looks like a quick and easy stock resource but plenty of trans artists get their income from their real work on those sites.

I know that my version probably isn't exactly what TRUK would be looking for in this case, but that AI image is part of a long line of stuff that could've been made by real trans people.

At this very moment, I'm sure an AI is lifting that sketch I made to further improve their models.

The Online Safety Bill has broken DMs here unless I pass some weird ID facial recognition thing and Facebook messenger just errors out when I try to DM you there.

I will give you an email alias to reach out to me on since anyone can read this and send spam.

I am disappointed that she was as let down by that conversation so I planned to speak to you at Megacon if I spotted you because Mae was shaking at the possibility of even seeing you there and she said that I should.
August 1, 2025 at 2:32 PM
I am still glad that I get to be one of those people because Mae is an absolute joy to have in my life and she has been for all the time that I have known her.

She struggles to assert herself and self-advocate so I am incredibly impressed that she had the conversation that she did with you.
August 1, 2025 at 2:32 PM
Hey look. I'm not sure how much you know about me but I'm one of Mae's best friends, if not her best, though that isn't for me to say.

Mae has tried (and failed) to have conversations with you and has been seriously let down. I have ended up being one of the people to pick up the pieces most times.

I find my reactions to be a lot more gamified these days, which *I guess* could be seen as either dark/edgy humour or defeatist.

I like to make fun out of something completely grim. E.g. making bets on how many times a specific man will come over, or starting timers for, "Michaels per hour".

Don't go in with alterior motives. There is a reason that the phrase is, "fall in love".

The concept of hitting on people really does just feel like an extentsion of rape culture.

It is approaching people with the intention of using it to have sex so it inherently has cohersive intent.

The solidarity of women is when a stranger walking past you, sat on a park bench, pretends to be your best friend so a man will stop telling you about how he wants to take you to his yacht in Dubai or somewhere else with airport security that wouldn't dream of letting me through.
June 29, 2025 at 10:43 AM
The solidarity of women isn't holding a placard with an entryist party in it,or having an "emergency demo" with the usual set of boring speakers after something gets into the press.

The solidarity of women is to go to the toilet in groups because men won't stop hitting on you.
