And the Zero Mission manga has Mother Brain turning evil because she's jealous that the Chozo believe Samus is destined to protect the universe, and she wants that job.

Certainly not as in-your-face as Prime. But Other M has Adam giving Samus a speech about how he's sacrificing his life for her because she's destined to be the Savior of the Universe and that's something he can never be. Zero Mission has her receiving the Legendary Power Suit from the Chozo War God

Pokopia sounds like it's somewhat scratching that itch. Building houses, gardens, etc for your Pokemon and making them a nice little Animal Crossing style town.

Well they spent 4 years on Shovel Knight 3D and never reached a point where they were willing to officially announce it, so that's not a GREAT sign. Seems to me like that's probably a much bigger contributor to the studio's financial problems, especially since it had most of the senior staff on it

Grandmother Silk is a pale being as well. I think the reason these are silkflies is that (based on some stuff we see in Whiteward) these things are created by binding silk to the souls of dead bugs.

I've got about half a dozen mods, great stuff. But agreed, I wish it was just a forever franchise. Hell I'd even take a digital download that updates every year for a charge.

Yeah I took Thurs/Fri off that week. I get off at 10:30 pm Wed and the game launches half an hour later in my time zone. Locking in.
