(He/Him) gamer and lover of nerd things. Gate over Trek and Wars. TMBG over Weird Al.

I feel fine enough, I guess; considering everything's a mess.
Right, $80 is rough, but it's really only $50 if you're also getting the only console you can play the game on. And as a luxury purchase, $80 for something that you'll get hundreds of hours out of over the next decade isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be.

Wishing John L the best! I'll be eagerly awaiting the rescheduled show for Atlanta.

I predicted in 2016 that our reality would become so strange over the following decade that The Onion would turn into the most truthful news source.

I was joking then, but I think about it every time we slip further to that future.

I was excited for this at first because my biggest barrier to entry for VGC official is that I don't have time to both team build and learn the competitive meta. I was really hoping for a game where I could focus on competitive team building and learn the meta without having to grind.

Other pokemon games with a MOBA format are F2P with microtransactions. The ability to connect to Home feels like they're going to have some microtransaction gem that allows the player to set stats, and if you want true F2P you need to just go with 0 EVs, or EV train in a game then transfer to Home.

I've looked back at the graphic that shows Home connectivity, not being able to actually move Mon from Champions to Home makes me hopeful for being able to set EVs/IVs on the team. But then I'm thinking of how TPC plans to monetize Champions.

This is important because of presidential term limits, a person can only be POTUS for a maximum of 10 years. If Vance holds the office for less than 2 years in this term, then he can run as an incumbent twice.

My current theory is that after the 2026 midterms, the republicans will invoke the 25th to remove Trump on the grounds of cognitive decline, then Vance gets just under 2 years in office and runs as an incumbent in 2028.

Yes, via the 25th Amendment to the constitution. But right now, the people who can make that decision are his sycophants. And, even if he is removed, Vance would take over the job for the rest of the term instead of triggering another vote.

I'll be at the second Atlanta show!
