One day there should be another statue placed around the outside of Jefferson at the Rotunda, depicting those who protected us in 8/11. Unfortunately it seems more likely there will be a statue with a tiki torch beforehand

While many people knew about the plans for 8/12, on that Friday, 8/11, it was different. Only the most dedicated knew about the planned march (I did not, for what it’s worth as my radicalization came the next day), and the most determined of our most dedicated showed up to defend our town.

So did he walk in with the equivalent of a 5-gallon Lowe’s bucket full of gas, get all the way to the target without being questioned why he had said bucket that smelled strongly of gasoline, dump the bucket over the target and then chase him so it could be ignited??

It’s a board CPD refuses to cooperate with in a city whose epic levels of dysfunctional and transient leadership never fully supported so CPD has just refused to acknowledge it, assuming (correctly) it will eventually be disbanded and forgotten and they will continue business as usual

Oh and that time will be spent not getting support or information you need from the city or CPD; the results of your investigation will be ignored at best - at worst you will be personally attacked/vilified in the media and by the city for whom you serve for undertaking this role in the first place

Everyone just seemed to ignore the economic loss associated with that unnecessary lockdown and how many people waited months for an appt at UVA that was cancelled bc the police couldn’t even put out an accurate description of someone who had been previously arraigned

Public safety initiatives should never need to be worded such that the public doesn’t understand. To do so means that either you won’t put forth the effort to educate the folks you swore to protect or that you are doing something you know they won’t like

But is he focused near term using his reading glasses or far using his uncorrected eyes? It’s important to know the difference bc even though he says he’s focused, trust but verify is a thing especially when there’s reason to suspect the person’s eyes do not focus on their own

Pantops food lion doesn’t have self check-out and the Lake Monticello food lion had the least reliable produce I’d ever seen, and I used to live 4 hours away from the nearest distribution center in the absolute middle of nowhere. LM FL was only bad bc it lacked competition

The tariffs (and their 100% success rate for objectives not at all associated with actual tariff actions) will keep opioids from entering the country, therefore we will no longer need Narcan. In fact, let’s burn all reserves we have already purchased as a show of faith in the tariff program!
