They could try reinstating cuts to NOAA, including the National Weather Service, even if the administration wants to pretend that climate change isn't real.

And most people aren't recognizing that something like 63% of nursing home payments come from Medicaid. Commercial real estate is one of my regular beats. This could well become devastating at a time that the need for senior housing is rapidly growing because of demographic changes.

Prior to 1913, tariffs were a, if not the, major source of taxation. And it was exactly that, taxation in a regressive way because the costs were passed through the price of goods and services to everyone no matter their income. All involuntary. Your arguments fall apart.

To say all income tax is a transfer of wealth is to argue that somehow nothing in running a nation should cost and citizens should not bear common costs of the nation.
I'm also wary of anyone who argues that a large heterogenous group all want one thing, that happens to be what the person wants.
