This is a rebellion, isn't it? I rebel.

An open-minded, progressive, Jesus-following ally with a rebel heart hellbent on fighting for the rights of those who are oppressed, marginalized, and ostracized.

Vive la résistance!
It is absolutely sickening, disgusting, and horrifying how MAGA cultists and their leaders is attempting to normalize being a pedophile. There's something seriously wrong with a person who thinks gettin' with a 15-year-old girl is perfectly acceptable behavior. Lookin' at you, Megyn Kelly.

I believe that all war and violence is wrong and unjust. I do not support the US' attack on Iran. I do not support the US' allyship with the government/nation of Israel nor do I support the US' continued support of the government/nation of Israel.

Raised my voice at the April 5th Hands Off protest. It was a very peaceful protest for which I was glad to attend. Today, headed to hear Bernie and AOC speak in Folsom. Looking forward to it.

Something has to change in this country of ours. This aggression will not stand, man.

Many of us tried to warn those folks that wanted a king. "This is not gonna go well," we said. "This is gonna be terrible for everyone," we said. But still they wanted a king and they got their king. And it's not going well. It's going terribly.

Getting what we want isn't always good for us.

There's lots of personal application to be found here, but right now, this passage is very timely for the US.

Many people wanted the orange man and they got him. But our nation didn't and doesn't need him. Not to save the US or make it great. Because he's bad for the country. Incredibly bad for it.

1. Sometimes what we want isn't always what we need. And what we need isn't always what we want.

2. Sometimes what we want isn't good for us. And can be incredibly bad for us. So we need to be careful about trying to get what we want cause it could, and often does, backfire on us.

A little late to this. 1 Samuel 8:1-22 provides some insight.

The people wanted a king. God warned them it would go terribly. The people still wanted a king. They got a king. It goes terribly.

Not that I want things to go terribly, but it reminds me of 2 things.

Heretic is a seriously good movie. Check it out. Great commentary on religion. And some really great terrifying horror.

The indigenous peoples of the Americas were here before there was a United States, before anyone else was here.

Where and how do you find calm and peace amidst the fear and panic?

I find calm and peace in my cat. Despite the language barrier, T'Challa is very reassuring and encouraging.

It really bothers me when people cite Paul as if Paul's writings are truth, when they're just like his opinion.

Is there truth to be found in his words? Certainly. But Paul's words and teachings, whether authentically Paul or merely attributed to him, are not on the same level as Jesus' teachings.
