City gas stations where electric cars are more likely found usually don’t have space to expand so existing space will need to be repurposed. Non-electric owners are already hostile about a few parking lot spaces being converted, how will they react to gas stations full of queueing electric cars?

Never gamble on a solar wind, it could be a coronal mass ejection.

I forget names as they’re being said to me and faces as soon as I look away.

I never want to make someone feel forgotten, uninteresting, or unimportant because my brain works differently. Glasses to alert me that I know someone, and in what context, would be amazing but only if it wasn’t obvious.

Maybe you’re not cut out for this.

I love the updates to the area and the new way up and down. No more playing frogger with traffic and trying to explain to people which parking garage elevator to take to get back up!

The new pavilion is really nice. I’m still a sucker for the wave tank and the seals in the other building though.

Your work is incredible and has been tremendously valuable to so many people. You, separate from your work, have always struck me as generous with your time, sincere in your interactions, and extraordinarily thoughtful. If you find something new you want to try, I know people will show up for you.

I need to believe this move by Microsoft was not voluntary. I can’t reconcile their direction over the last decade with this move. Between corporate risk aversion and public perception it makes no sense to platform Musk and host Grok. There has to be more going on. #build2025 #azure

You managed to 1) shrink the issue to a specific instance, 2) dismiss it by excusing others for a “mistake”, and 3) justify the actions harming a real person because IF a series of hypotheticals were true then maybe someone might have lost their job, all while pretending to be a voice of “reason”. 👎

Queens Night Market, Queens Zoo and Flushing Meadows Park south of the stadium is also nice. Lots of space, very walkable from subway, lots to see. Food options are sparse though but if you’re there when the night market is open that’s a lot of fun.

I remember going out after a conference over there and eating at an amazing place that was either Chama Mama or it isn’t there anymore then walking past the brownstones to the promenade to take in the city view. It was awesome.

I’m partial to DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights Promenade at sunset going into night. The transformation of the city skyline from browns and oranges to glimmering lights is pleasing. Also tons of great food between those and subway with outdoor seating. Evening breeze on a warm night. 🥰

Too beaten path?

Chapter 5 of “A People’s History of the United States: 1492 - Present” by Howard Zinn seems very relevant to what’s happening right now.
