It’s taken some time to settle in and adjust, but I can report that the past three days have been much more productive here at Edificio Mythos (“Mythology House”) than in frigid New England. #sabbatical #Barranco #Lima #Peru

Apparently an old high school friend of mine was granted access and she said that the person who started it did so because he saw the surge in Tolkien popularity coming. Prescient fellow.

My drink in Peru is not, as I’d thought, a cortado (too milky); neither is it a macchiato (too black). Rather, it is a cortado tres cuatros: a “short three quarters.” ¡Perfecto!
