4 pitchers left before we have to go to Yesavage, but I’m not a huge fan of Heineman’s numbers with fewer than 48 days of rest.
Tyler Heineman’s pitching game log for 2025, including a pair of ok outings and one horrible outing on just 33 days of rest where he allowed 10 runs on 13 hits in 1.1 innings.

Most home runs in a season in American League history, regular season plus post season. Cal Raleigh has taken over number 1, with 65 this year, beating out the previous record holder Aaron Judge’s 64. Other members of the top 5 are Roger Maris’ 62 in 1961, Babe Ruth’s 62 in 1927 and Judge again with 61 last year.

I’m 38 and have no memory of the World Series years. My first baseball game memories are ones I went to in 1994. My first baseball specific memories are getting “Back2Back” posters for Christmas in 1993, and those hung predominantly on my bedroom wall until I moved out.
No Blue Jays fan under the age of 31 has ever felt this feeling. They've never been this close. Many who stayed up late for one more Carlos Delgado at-bat, checked the probable pitchers for when Roy Halladay would start, or believed the magic of 2015 would never end, they did not know until now what it was like to cheer this late into fall. And until now, they've never attempted to breathe before one game to decide entry onto baseball's biggest stage. Even for those who witnessed 1992 and 1993, it's been decades.
