For the record, they're not anti-vaxxers at all. Their reasoning was: pandemic Is over and last time we took the shot we had fever for a couple of days, it's pointless. Got COVID and were positive for 2 whole weeks.

I had my sixth two weeks ago. My parents did not want to take theirs last year, while I took mine. Unfortunately they both got COVID during the Christmas Holidays. They're fine and maybe it was just a coincidence, but they learned their lesson and got their shot last week.

As an italian living in Italy, I'm truly sorry you had a bad experience in our country. I wish I could say it was an exception but the truth is racism and xenophobic episodes have been rising in recent years. If you want to give Italy another shot one day, awesome, but I understand if you won't.
