RNA-binding proteins and RNA regulatory networks through computational biology/bioinformatics - Associate Professor at Department CIBIO, University of Trento
We welcome Gloria and Andrea to the lab, starting their #PhD journey with us today. Good luck and we can't wait for all the exciting new science to come!

Excited to present our new @naturecomms.bsky.social paper with Stefania Millevoi's lab on the role of #RNA G-quadruplex in mitochondrial RNA. We find that
#RG4 can be exploited to inhibit mitochondrial translation and disrupt #cancer cells proliferation.

RNA G-quadruplexes control mitochondria-localized mRNA translation and energy metabolism - Nature Communications
Cancer cells rely on mitochondria for energy and macromolecule synthesis. Here, the authors show that RNA G-quadruplex dynamics, driven by oncogenic signals, regulate the translation of nuclear-encode...

We can play a role in tackling #disinformation (and is leaving X one?)
The disinformation sleuths: a key role for scientists in impending elections
Researchers in Europe have a golden opportunity to help defend democratic principles and bring science to bear against online disinformation. Researchers in Europe have a golden opportunity to help de...

#HiSciSky! I'm an associate professor at the Department CIBIO, University of Trento.

My lab studies #RNA regulatory networks and the interplay of RNA-binding proteins in #cancer onset and progression with #compbio #biocomp methods.

Can't wait to interact with sci people on the platform!
