I have only studied Georgian in transliteration, but I can report that y'all is singular. In Georgian, 2nd person plural is "all y'all."

International Male went out of business in 2007, so that means the only people who still wear their clothing regularly are middle aged autistics.

The Silent Generation is the only one defined exclusively negatively. They're too old to be boomers and too young to be WW2 generation.
November 18, 2025 at 1:50 AM
I've already mentioned that Boomers were conceived after V-E Day, which would technically mean born February 1946 and later, but I don't quibble about a one month difference.

Xoomers, though not a full generation, are too old for Sesame Street but too young to remember Kennedy.

Last year's Democratic ticket featured Harris, Gen X, born in October 1964 and Walz, Xoomer, born in April 1964.
November 18, 2025 at 1:50 AM
There are two definitions for the start of Gen X, and they both give about the same time.

First, Gen X watched Sesame Street. That means they were not yet in school in November 1969. They were also conceived after Kennedy's assassination. Both of these give a start of mid 1964.

Millennials don't remember the Challenger disaster. That means they were born in 1981 or later. They ended in mid-1996.
November 18, 2025 at 1:50 AM
Gen Z's beginning touchpoint is 9-11. Gen Z doesn't remember it. I had a conversation with my Gen Z colleagues. The oldest, born in late 1996, didn't remember 9-11. Another colleague, born in 1995, remembers it and considers herself a Millennial.

Generations are also culture-specific. Generational dividers are often different for different countries.

The cultural touchpoint for Gen Alpha is Covid, specifically Gen Alpha was not in school for the shutdown in March, 2020. That gives a start date of the second half of 2014.
